Upon scheduling, your rug will be promptly collected and transported it to our specialized cleaning facility. Here, it will undergo our rigorous Nine Step Cleaning System, ensuring optimal removal of soil and stains. Centralizing the cleaning process in our plant enables us to administer multiple treatments, ensuring a comprehensive cleaning process, precise drying, and utilization of specialized tools unavailable on-site.

9 Step Area Rug Cleaning Experience

1. Inspection and Pick-up – Before collecting your area rug, a comprehensive assessment will be performed to learn any details regarding the type of rug and its inherent characteristics that may impact the cleaning process. Expectations will be set to anticipate results and a tailored cleaning regimen will be communicated.
2. Dry Soil Removal – Woven rugs, particularly hand-knotted varieties, are engineered to effectively conceal dry soil accumulation. A comprehensive study conducted by the Eureka Company revealed that a standard 9×12 area rug possesses the capability to conceal up to 87 pounds of dirt. Our cleaning process employs a diverse array of techniques, including the utilization of a pile lifter machine, specialized vacuum attachments, and various other methods, both from the front and back of the rug. This meticulous approach constitutes a pivotal phase in the cleansing procedure of any textile, ensuring optimal results.
3. Pre-Conditioning – The pretreatment of rugs is customized based on the fiber content and nature of soiling, aiming to effectively emulsify the soils.
4. Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation – Specialized solutions are applied to pre-treat any potentially challenging spots, enhancing the likelihood of successful removal. Additionally, the fringes undergo pre-treatment procedures to optimize soil removal as well.
5. Shampoo – The majority of rugs undergo a cleaning process utilizing an oriental rug shampoo, meticulously formulated to achieve optimal cleanliness while safeguarding delicate natural fibers.
6. Rinse or Wash – Depending on the characteristics of the rug, it will either undergo a thorough rinsing process utilizing extraction equipment on both sides or be washed in a specialized wash pit tailored for oriental rugs.
7. Drying – Following the removal of soil through rinsing, the rug is subjected to either flat drying or hung in a controlled environment to facilitate the drying process. Ensuring adequate drying is imperative to prevent any potential occurrence of unnatural shrinkage.
8. Finishing – Upon completion of the drying process, the rug undergoes combing and finishing using specialized soft groomers tailored for specialty rugs.
9. Post-Inspection and Delivery – Our team of cleaning specialists conduct a meticulous final inspection of the rug before authorizing its release for delivery. Each rug is wrapped in shrink wrap to shield it from dust and environmental contaminants until the time of delivery. Upon arrival, our professionals will carefully lay out the rug for you, ensuring its proper presentation.
